About Me

My name is Caroline Phillips, and I am pursuing a degree in Sport and Entertainment Management, B.S. with a minor in Business Administration and Leadership Distinction in the Professional and Civic Engagement pathway at the University of South Carolina.
Originally from Maryland, I spent my entire life there before making the significant decision to move to South Carolina for my college education. This choice was driven by my desire to expose myself to a new environment, embrace new challenges, and seek experiences that would promote personal growth and development.
Growing up in Maryland, I was fortunate to have a supportive community and a familiar environment. However, I recognized the importance of stepping outside my comfort zone to gain a broader perspective on life. South Carolina, with its rich history, diverse culture, and vibrant academic community, presented the perfect opportunity for this new chapter.
During my time in South Carolina, I embraced the exciting journey of adapting to a new locale. From the scenic landscapes to the warm hospitality of the people, every aspect of this experience was both rewarding and enlightening. College life there was a mix of rigorous academics, engaging extracurricular activities, and meaningful interactions that all contributed to my growth.
I pursued my passion for sports and eagerly applied what I learned in the classroom to real-world situations. My time in South Carolina was not just about education; it was about evolving as an individual, building resilience, and developing a well-rounded perspective.
